My name is Melinda Demeter and I am a busy mom of two amazing kids. I am passionate about working with children. I teach English as an Additional Language to newcomer students. I also like to travel and learn about different cultures. My love of learning and curiosity always help me move forward and discover something new.

I created this website as part of my Major Project for my Educational Technology Class - EC&I 832. As part of my personal journey through media, I decided to learn more about social media apps, such as TikTok and Instagram as well as educational apps: Kahoot! and BBC Learning English. I am examining the above mentioned apps through the media lens with a focus on deepening my knowledge and understanding of being a media literate, responsible digital citizen in order to be able to teach it effectively to both my children and my students.
